CRC Bridge Controversy

I won't go into the details of this controversy, you can find many excellent articles on bikeportland.org or the BTA about it. I stand with the BTA in their opposition to the current bridge proposal and plan to attend the rally this Sunday to oppose it.



A quick summary of my views about this: we should not be spending money on a massive bridge that will only encourage car traffic. The US needs to wake up to the reality that cars are not sustainable. For the sake our planet's future, we need to be investing in projects that promote sustainable transportation. Not more car lanes.
